Having a beautiful home with sky blue, earth green, and clean water is a common aspiration for humanity.
To vigorously promote energy conservation and emission reduction and to effectively fight against pollution, accelerating the establishment of a sound, green, low-carbon, and circular economic development system is essential.
This will facilitate the comprehensive green transformation of economic and social development, helping to achieve the goals of peaking carbon emissions and achieving carbon neutrality. The following measures can be implemented:
1. Enhance conservation awareness and promote the virtue of diligence and thrift. Starting from oneself and from small things, consciously saving every drop of water, every unit of electricity, every piece of paper, and every grain of rice, we can uphold the traditional Chinese virtues of diligence and thrift, strengthen the awareness of resource conservation, and establish a social trend where saving is honorable, and wastefulness is shameful.
Advocating and practicing the "135" low-carbon travel concept, which entails walking 1 kilometer, cycling 3 kilometers, and taking public transportation for 5 kilometers, promotes healthy and low-carbon travel habits and fosters energy-saving and low-carbon lifestyles.
2. Strengthen technological innovation to improve the utilization efficiency of energy resources. Accelerating the transformation of economic development modes, driven by energy conservation and emission reduction, and utilizing technological innovation as a means, we focus on energy conservation, water conservation, land conservation, material conservation, comprehensive utilization of energy and resources, and the development of a circular economy.
We aim to comprehensively promote and popularize energy-saving technologies, promote and publicize the achievements of low-carbon technological innovation, actively eliminate high-energy-consuming and high-polluting equipment and production processes, and expedite the formation of energy-saving production methods to improve the overall level of energy and resource utilization in society.
3. Strive to be energy conservation and emission reduction practitioners.Public institutions, public servants, and members of society should strive to:
1. Cultivate turning off lights, air conditioners, and computers when leaving classrooms, offices, and other public places. Computers, printers, and other office equipment should be turned off when not in use to reduce standby power consumption, and high-efficiency energy-saving bulbs should be used.
2. Turn off taps when not in use to prevent water wastage, cherish and make reasonable use of water supply systems, advocate for multipurpose water usage, and achieve water resource conservation.
3. Adopt healthy eating habits, embrace frugal and civilized consumption concepts, save food, oppose waste, advocate for moderate consumption, and discourage excessive consumption.
4. Save paper, reduce the use of disposable stationery, and actively promote double-sided printing.
5. Classify and recycle waste paper, beverage bottles, batteries, and other waste materials to promote energy-saving and emission reduction in daily life.
6. Embrace green transportation, advocate for green consumption concepts, and promote commuting by public transit, cycling, or walking to reduce the use of private cars.
7. Conserve administrative resources by strictly adhering to meeting and reception standards, controlling the scale of official activities, simplifying processes to reflect efficiency, and striving to reduce administrative operating costs. Practice concise and accurate communication during telephone calls to reduce call duration.
8. Use energy-saving and environmentally friendly products, promote thrift in consumption, and popularize energy-saving and environmentally friendly products. Prioritize using high-efficiency energy-saving lighting products, appliances, new energy vehicles, and other energy-saving products to build a consumption pattern emphasizing conservation.
Raising awareness of climate change, intensifying low-carbon actions, starting from oneself, starting now, starting from the little things, let us take active actions and work together to carry out energy-saving activities across society. By reminding and supervising each other, we can contribute to the development of our beautiful homeland.
